Improving Access to Medically Necessary Health Care

The Stay Gold Fund, in partnership with Stonewall Community Fund, provides financial support to transgender people for gender affirming surgeries.

For many transgender people, gender-affirming surgeries can be out of reach due to high cost and insurance exemptions. The American Medical Association and the World Health Organization have deemed healthcare for trans people to be medically-necessary and life saving. The Stay Gold Fund will strive to remove the stigma around this important step in the transition journey.
